Governance is defined as,
The institute of governance defines governance as the process whereby societies or organizations make their important decisions, determine who has the voice, who engaged in the process and how an account is rendered (IOG, 2006)
And
The exercise of economic, political, and administrative authority to manage the nation’s affairs at all levels. It comprises mechanisms, processes, and institutions through which citizens and groups articulate their interests, exercise their legal rights and obligations, and mediate their difference. Governance is not the sole domain of governance but transcends government to encompass the business sectors and civil society (Neda,2006)

Now
Governance has three legs
economic, political, and administrative. economic Governance includes decision-making processes that affect a country's economic activities and relationship with other economies.
political Governance is the process of decision-making to formulate policy administrative Governance is the system of political implementation.
Government and governance
Government and governance are interchangeably used in most dictionaries. Both denoting the exercise of authority in an organization, institution, or state
The entire exercise of the authority is named as government simple definition of Authority is legitimate power.
And power is the ability to influence the behavior of others,
Authority is the right to do
Authority is based on acknowledging duty to obey rather than coercion or manipulation
There are three kinds of authority
Traditional authority = Is rooted in history
Charismatic authority = From personality
Legal authority = Is grounded in a set of impersonal rules
Now to study Government means to study the exercise of authority(HEYWOOD, 1997)
POLITICS IS THE ARTS OF GOVERNMENT
The exercise of control within the society through the making enforcing of collective decisions (Heywood,1997)
So the politicians are described as political where the civil servants are as non-political the state as a public and civil society as private, the institutions of the state can be regarded as public because they are responsible for the collective organization of the community life. moreover, they are funded at the public’s expense, out of taxation.
Nowadays the conception of politics and government has moved beyond the narrow realms of government to what is thought of as public life or public affairs since the government and the private sector play a vital role in the community
